In this Content post, I talk about changing your last name due to marriage, specifically as a dual-military couple.
What do I think I missed or got wrong? How does this change for other circumstances, such as divorce? What’s your experience – good, bad, or ugly?

Jeff (Sir),
You hit the nail in the head! Anger and disappointment more than defensiveness.
Still feelings some sort of way about the situation and although it is not the first time this has happen, I can’t seem to get my self to speak to the 1SG as I did the first time, mainly because after I spoke to the BDE XO the guidance was to go through…[Read more]

Aloha everyone…
#WWAJOD? – What would a Junior officer do if this was their HHD 1SG?
Scenario:
Staff duty roster has come out and you need to make a change; you know that the approval authority is the BDE XO.
You come to the 1SG to:
1. Let the 1SG know there is a discrepancy on the Duty Roster.
2. Ask for some guidance on duty c…[Read more]

Chad – YES! I also create my Continuity Book during my LS/RS of a new job. I’m learning how to do the new job, so I might as well turn my notes into a How-To for someone else. A monthly Calendar reminder is a great idea! I should add that into my battle rhythm. My additions tend to be conditions (not time based) (basically, when I have time to…[Read more]
