You may or may not be aware, but the Army has published TC 4-11.46 Sustainment Unit Gunnery and Live Fire Exercise Strategy. This a relatively new TC (DEC 2016). Chapter 7 goes through crew evaluations. I hope this helps.

PSTOFAN, hit it on the head. Have him plan a training from start to finishing properly following UTM and using OBJ-T measures to evaluate. Then brief the plan as part of an LPD. Depending on the audience this can be a great way for new officers and NCOs to learn everything that needs to go into planning.

The Vehicle Commander and Gunner are what counts for the qualification. They qualification is good for 9 months. I used the juggling of glass or rubber balls once for my LT’s. There’s lots of stuff here you could use. he OBJ-T one could be used too. He could also use some issue the BN has as a topic like if its poor leadership or mis-managemnet of tasks find an article for people to read and discuss it.
